Jason Moscovici is a partner, lawyer and biochemist with ROBIC, LLP, a multidisciplinary intellectual property law firm from Quebec, Canada. His IP practice specializes in regulated industries such as food, alcohol, cannabis, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, natural health products, advertising and consumer products.

Councilor to the Mexican Health Foundation (FUNSALUD), a member of the board of the Association of Pharmaceutical Industry
Physicians and Professionals (AMEIFAC) and of the Commission of Legal Affairs of the National Chamber of the Pharmaceutical
Industry (CANIFARMA). He is also a professor of Sanitary Law in the Escuela Libre de Derecho. Before joining Sánchez Devanny,
Juan Luis was Legal Director of the Mexican Affiliate of a Multinational Pharmaceutical Company, with responsibilities over
Mexico and Latin America, and worked in lawfirms specializing in intellectual property.
Juliana has 20 years of experience working in Regulatory Affairs in
Mexican and Multinational Pharmaceutical Companies, including Stendhal
Pharma and Sanofi Aventis. She was also in charge of the regulatory
strategy for Mexico for Khiron Life Sciences Corp, focusing on cannabis
products in healthcare.
Juliana currently works as regulatory consultant aiding companies in the
cannabis, pharmaceutical, medical devices, food and cosmetics industries
in proceedings before the Federal Commission for Protection Against

RICARDO RAMÍREZ-MONTOYA Has a Law Degree from the Ibero-American University, has postgraduate studies in North American Law from Georgetown University, a Master's Degree in Economic History from the Ibero-American University and is a candidate for a Doctor of Business Law from the Complutense University of Madrid. As a consultant in regulation and lobbying, he has participated in the integration and approval of important reforms applicable to the pharmaceutical sector (Compulsory Licenses, Linkage, Biotechnological Medicines, Sanitary Registry of health supplies, Advertising of Medicines, public sector purchases, among others). He was part of the business delegation of CONCAMIN that accompanied the negotiations of the TPP, Pacific Alliance and United States - Mexico and Canada Trade Agreements (USMCA), representing the pharmaceutical sector for the Government Procurement chapters , Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution Mechanisms. He received the COEBIO Bioethics award in November 2016 and was part of the Qualifying Jury of the National Award for Voluntary and Solidarity Action, delivered by the President of the United Mexican States in December 2016. Since that year he has been a mentor for new entrepreneurs and a jury in the MassChallenge Accelerator (Mexico and Boston) and Startup HUB CDMX from Facebook programs. He is the author of publications on health regulation and legal history, as well as a frequent lecturer in analysis programs on health and business in Mexico and abroad. He is currently the Health Law Committee Chair of the Illustrious and National Collegium of Lawyers of Mexico and Managing Director of Hudde & Rynd, public affairs firm specialized in strategic communications and health regulation.
Rod is a cannabis business law attorney who lives in Asheville, NC. He represents legal
cannabis businesses throughout the country and is editor and chief writer of the Kight On
Cannabis law blog (www.kightoncannabis.com), a popular blog that discusses evolving legal
issues affecting the cannabis industry. Rod is the author of “Cannabis Business Law-What You
Need to Know”, published by Aspatore Books, a Thomson Reuters (WestLaw) Company, in
August 2015. Rod is on the advisory board for the American Journal of Endocannabinoid
Medicine (AJEM), for which he also writes a legal column. AJEM is the first printed, peer-
reviewed medical cannabis journal in North America. Rod is frequently interviewed on cannabis
matters by major media outlets and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Time, Business
Insider, and Business Insurance.
A strong believer in cannabis for personal and medical use after using it successfully during
chemotherapy treatments for cancer (he is in remission), Rod is an attorney advocate for
NORML. He is also a member of the International Cannabis Bar Association, the National
Cannabis Industry Association, Women Grow, the Hemp Industries Association, and the North
Carolina Industrial Hemp Association. Rod has represented numerous cannabis businesses and
been a presenter on cannabis legal issues at seminars across the country. He has also drafted
and presented cannabis legislation to a foreign head of state.
Rod is married to his elementary school sweetheart, Ashley, who is also his office manager.
